Syrian Refugee Crisis
Since the Syrian civil war began, a staggering 320,000 people have been killed - including almost 12,000 children. Since January 2015, over 1 million people have been forced to flee the war-torn country and travel at dangerous lengths to reach Europe - with a further 15 million people fleeing across the Middle East. The Syrian economy is shattered, with healthcare, education systems and other infrastructure destroyed. An estimated 800,00 Syrians have fled across the Turkish border into Istanbul, Dario recently travelled to the city to work on a project documenting the tragic plight of the Syrian refugee families in this compelling photographic series.
Syrian children have lost their loved ones and witnessed continued violence and brutality, we hope you'll join us in making a donation to The Save The Children Charity.
