Drawn to the raw energy of urban subcultures, Matthew's latest project captures a lively slice of the London skate scene. Occupying a supermarket car park in the early evenings, this unassuming location becomes a sanctuary - a carefree space where a vibrant melting pot of skaters from all walks of life come together. Bringing his own skates out of retirement to fully immerse himself in the action, Matt’s new series aims to shine a light on the skate community's warmth, dedication, and inclusive spirit.
The SKATEISM project was recently showcased in the first edition of The Story Lens Talks exhibition series, held in Soho. A standout image from the new series was also shortlisted in this year’s Portrait of Britain competition. Congratulations, Matt!
