Swampfest - They Came for Blood
Swampfest has evolved from a DIY backyard hangout, into a wild, all-out BMX and skateboarding spectacle in the Florida swamps. Each year, pro riders and fans descend on a gritty, anything-goes playground of dirt tracks, dangerous ramps, and outrageous wooden structures. Built on chaos and creativity, with heaps of Jackass-style energy, Swampfest thrives on risk as much as skill - it’s not just about landing tricks, but how hard you fall.
Taking place at Waldo Motorsports Park, Will immersed himself in the action, creating an exciting new personal series that captures all the raw, adrenaline-charged chaos of the two-day event.
“After being hit by a flying bin in the middle of an impromptu mosh pit, I began to question what keeps drawing me back to these kinds of events. Like a lot of these gatherings, it becomes a temporary world built for escapism. It seems that people come here to switch off and unwind, not to be judged, and to let loose and have fun. But maybe no one is really switching off. Maybe everyone here is trying to feel something, something real, something uncomfortable - maybe even a little pain. What drew me in were the smaller pockets of unpredictable chaos, away from the main events, where people formed their own tribes, just beyond the edges of everything else; that’s where I found the most unfiltered moments.” - Will H.
